Jim Manion, RICP®

For more than 15 years, I have had the opportunity to assist wonderful individuals and families with their unique financial goals and dreams. I consider it such a privilege to be my clients’ advocate, looking out for their interests. I have always believed that investment and financial advice should go far beyond pie charts and financial products. Although these things are important, a personalized plan addresses the issues and concerns unique to the objectives of the individual for which it is created. My goal is to provide my clients with the information they need to make informed and intelligent decisions that are so critical to their financial futures and that of their families.

My wife, Lisa, and I live in Jenison with our two sons, Zach and Logan. Like many families, we find ourselves busy with school, sports, and church activities. The boys keep Lisa and me very busy. When there is free time, I enjoy the occasional round of golf and getting away to someplace warm and sunny with my wife. More than anything, we enjoy spending time together as a family.

I am an Investment Adviser Representative and General Securities Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. My registrations include FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 24 (Registered Securities Principal), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law). I am also licensed for life and health insurance.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in business from Calvin College and am a past president of the Grand Rapids Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  In addition, I hold the Retirement Income Certified Planner RICP® designation.

Amy M. Dowling, CFP®

I love being a financial professional and enjoy putting my knowledge, experience, and talents to use serving my clients.  With the relationship I have built with each client, I take on the responsibility to help you with your entire financial well-being.  I am committed to having the resources needed to take care of all of your financial needs.

I am a graduate of Central Michigan University.  I have practiced as a financial advisor since 1999.  My experience has contributed towards my skill, proficiency, insight, and understanding in retirement and investment planning, insurance, banking, customer service, and overall financial planning.

I am a member of the West Michigan Estate Planning Counsel and the Financial Services Institute (FSI).

I achieved the requirements to be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER practitioner in January 2011.  This certification has four requirements.  An important requirement to be certified that CFP® practitioners is we must abide by ongoing strict Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct rules.   The educational requirement I completed at Grand Valley State University, at their Seidman Financial Planning Certification Program in 2010. This program required the completion of courses in Principles of Financial Planning, Insurance Planning, Investment Planning, Personal Income Tax Planning, Estate Planning, Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits. I had completed experience requirement.  The decisive requirement to be granted the CFP® designation was passing their grueling two-day exam in the fall of 2010.

I am an Investment Adviser Representative (IAR) and General Securities Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. My registrations include FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company and Variable Contracts Securities License), Series 7 (General Securities Representative License), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), and Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law). I am also licensed for life and health insurance.

I look forward to serving my current and future clients, their family and friends for many years to come!

Andrew Brown, LUTCF®

Graduating from Central Michigan University in 2008, with a degree in financial planning, I joined MassMutual Financial Group. Over the past six years, I have enjoyed the opportunity to connect with those in the community and gain insight on how to better help people meet their financial goals.

As an advisor, I look forward to continuing to serve the community as part of the Lakeshore Financial Group. I feel it is of value to be part of an independent firm whose focus is on the success of our clients. The most enjoyable aspect of being an advisor is the opportunity to build long lasting client/advisor friendships, there is nothing more exciting than to see growth of friends.  I hold the Life Underwriter Training Counsel Fellow (LUTCF®) designation.

My wife Ashley and I were married in 2011 and we live in Grand Rapids. In our spare time we enjoy boating, outdoor activities, and serving with our church community.

Tony Corcoran, ChFC®, CLU®

I entered the financial services industry in 1995 and have a background in management, investment and planning research.  Jim and I worked side by side from 2000 to 2008 and it is great to work together once again.  I look forward to assisting Jim with the creation of personalized plans and portfolios that are as unique as the clients we serve.

My wife, Rebecca, and I live in Cascade with our twin boys, Mason and Reade. We were married in 1999 and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

I hold FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 4 (Registered Options Principal), Series 24 (Registered Securities Principal), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law) registrations. I am also licensed for life and health insurance in Michigan.
